40/42 Stout Handcrafted Beer Soap

4042 Stout Beer Soap – “The one that started it all” when it comes to our beer soaps…made from BEER brewed right down the road in Clayton, NC. It doesn’t get more manly than that (except that it’s also a fave amongst the lady customers too)!  OK, full disclosure here…our Beer Soaps started as a gimmick, a marketing tool to get guys to come into our soap shop.  “What would be good way to get guys in here?  Beer soap!  Obviously local beer, we have the best in the country within a stones throw!  What kind?  Hmmm…what about…a chocolate stout, REALLY chocolatey, something I can work with when it comes to soap!  Surely there’s a local beer like that, right?  Who would know where I can find that?  Aha!  Those NC Beer Guys, I bet they would know!”  They did indeed know and got back to me ASAP!  I was off to the The Dispensary in Apex (because it was closer than the brewery and I was so excited to try and make beer soap, I couldn’t wait!)!  The Deep River Brewing Company’s 40/42 stout is brimming with rich chocolate notes and gives the soap it’s stout color. Beer is said to be very conditioning for the skin and it turned out to be one of the best soaps we’d ever made, not to mention the soap smells incredible!  A special thanks to Dave & Glen for their recommendation  and to The Dispensary in Apex for keeping growlers in stock and ready to go.  Cheers!
